FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
A new website, Readerboards.com, has been established which provides tools to encourage community interaction among call center professionals. Though started as part of a new development project, the site's main focus is providing general collaborative resources to industry people in all areas.
Independent programmer John Repici is developing a next generation readerboard system and has started Readerboards.com as one way to involve customers in the innovative process. Mr. Repici has designed two commercial readerboard systems for others in the past. Through this site, he is asking those who work in the industry to share their ideas and day-to-day job challenges in order to produce an even better design.
To thank members in the industry for their participation, Readerboards.com is building an online resource for all members of the call center community. Here workers, consultants, and the industry trade press have access to a variety of tools for collaborating with and helping each other.
One area allows members to easily create their own web pages and link them with pages produced by other members. This area is so very easy to use. A typical member will be producing his or her first web page within minutes of entering.
Discussion boards and chat areas are also provided. There is a community area for members to exchange opinions on topics from current movies and books to call center management issues. Members may conduct poles of the community that are tallied in real-time. More formal surveys of everything from motivation to browser color capabilities are conducted and reported. Other areas offer a consultant center that includes private discussion boards for consultants and their clients, general reference links, statistics, and more.
Readerboards.com supports and encourages contributions by members. To keep the experience fun, contests and drawings for small prizes will be held from time to time. Membership is free though participants are required to register. Visitors may register at Readerboards.com by selecting "Join" from the splash page or the Tour. The privacy policy is published for view on the Tour. A special open discussion board called "The Front Porch" is offered to all visitors. Other discussion boards and the areas that allow members to produce their own web pages are restricted to registered members only.
