Readerboards.com, officially opened in October of 2000
to encourage community interaction and self-help among call
center professionals. Though originally started as part of a
new development project, the site's main focus is providing
general collaboration resources to industry people in all areas.
Some of the site's features are:
- Committed to building a community of kindred call center
industry workers.
- The site is completely free, and will remain that way!
- Discussion boards and chat areas available 24/7
- No ad banners. Not a profit site.
- Members can produce their own web pages.
- A list of (currently over 100) categorized industry links
are added, rated, and reviewed by members.
- Members add, rate, and review books and call center
products as well
- Other resources include, statistics, downloads,
white papers, and a member-directory (the directory
lists only that personal information members choose
to share).
- Chances to win door prizes tied to participation. Two
sets of prizes have been given away so far.
- Members can set up their own opinion polls and get results immediately.
- Consultants and members can set up their own private
discussion boards and chat areas to support clients and private
groups.
- Members control their own information! It is never sold or
traded without explicit permission. Members are always welcome to
delete their personal information completely.
- Easy registration, normally in less than 24 hours.
